From the early days of the video game industry, developers have sought to create worlds as compelling as real life. While technological advances in graphics, computation, and more have certainly helped bridge the gap, games still lack many of life’s fundamental incentives, like the ability to earn a living, for the vast majority of players.

But today with the born of GameFi, an emerging crypto-gaming category, may have the potential to make playing a full-time profession. GameFi — also known as “play-to-earn” — is the marriage of gaming and blockchain-powered financialization. Whether through quests, trading, or other mechanisms, GameFi allows gamers to earn digital assets for their in-game efforts.

Space passport is a procedural science fiction exploration and survival game. The game features planetary exploration, space-based battles, predators and prey, and much more across various procedurally-generated worlds. Each world has its own ecosystems, rewards, and dangers, leading the player through the four core pillars of the game: Explore, Fight, Trade, and Survive.

GAME STORY

After a series of endemics gone under control led to unprecedented social and economic crises mankind’s best minds were forced to develop a technology to allow for intergalactic flights with the sole aim to isolate species for building a better future.

Survivors managed to travel to the farest places possible, totally unknown galaxies with immediate risks and opportunities yet to be discovered by adventurers. They elaborated the Algorand Blockchain to grant inviolable rights for everyone and minted “Space Passport (SPP)” token as the only means of exchange in the new world.

With a limited amount of valuable resources available on Planets and Asteroids, the new socium has an aim to develop and explore in a highly competitive environment. That is the last hope for preserving humankind species
